Joe Hochreiter, Jr.

Professionally, Joe is a Hydrologist who is President of his own consulting firm, Senior Environmental Consulting, LLC of Yardley, PA. Joe provides Fortune 500 manufacturing companies, brownfields site redevelopers, and municipalities with scientific and engineering solutions to their environmental challenges. Joe lives in Yardley with his wife, Eileen, and his two children, Erich and Kristen.

Joe has been very active as a volunteer in the community. In high school and college, Joe volunteered as a recreation coordinator at Byberry State Mental Hospital in Philadelphia. After serving as a Disaster Services Team member since 1972, Joe served for seven years (1985-1992) on the Board of Directors of the Lower Bucks County Chapter of the Red Cross, where he managed Disaster Services and founded the Red Cross Homeless Shelter in Levittown. Currently he is on the Red Cross Shelter's Advisory Committee and has returned to the Chapter's Board of Directors.

He is on the Board (past Board President) of the The Counseling Center of Holland, a non-profit, psychotherapeutic counseling center that serves those who cannot afford private-practice therapy. He is also Chairman of the Board for the non-profit Youth Orchestra of Bucks County, whose members include over 180 of the County’s most talented young classical musicians. Joe has also served on the Board of the Bucks County Symphony Orchestra in 2007 and 2008.

SEC is a major corporate sponsor for Trenton Downtown Association's "Women in Jazz" series of concerts and workshops. SEC is also a Benefactor to the Franklin Institute Science Museum in Philadelphia, which is undertaking a major redesign of its air/water/land and energy exhibits with an emphasis on "green" principles and technologies. SEC also supports the Greenbelt Overhaul Alliance of Levittown (GOAL) in its effort to improve the flow and environmental quality of drainage ways in Levittown, PA.

Joe is active in the sports of motorcycling, skiing, and endurance kart racing. He communicates with people across the world as an active General Class Radio Amateur (WA3KTZ), having received his first license in 1968.
